Part 8: footages: some of MJ's performances: with his brothers, when he was younger; the Dangerous tour; Billie Jean performance at Motown 25, and others; in May 14, 1984, MJ at the White House with President Ronald Reagan to receive "good role model" award; "a night the majesty met the magic": MJ meeting Princess Diana and donates to their charity; MJ receives an award for best-selling album; MJ meets with President Nelson Mandela; amazing Neverland; note: before MJ turned 30, he had it all; with Billie Jean, MJ was the first black to be on MTV; number 1 album Thriller came out in 1982; in 1983, MJ fired his entire management, including his father; a review of MJ's major burning accident in 1984 with footage; MJ started Victory tour with his brothers after the accident; people thought tickets to Victory concert were too expensive; MJ announcing he is donating all his earnings from Victory concert to charity; MJ receives award for humanitarian efforts from the White House; but in truth, it had a hiden agenda to entice MJ into letting the transportation secretary use "Beat It" as background for anti-drunk driving campaign ad???; MJ gets overwhelmed by all the attention, locks himself in the bathroom; MJ's new manager is Frank Dileo; in 1985, MJ was part of "We are the World" which he co-wrote with Lionel Richie, a huge success; later that year (1985), MJ has sprained his hand at the set of Disney movie "Captain Eo" and was rushed to the hospital; MJ bought Beatles music rights which hurt his friendship with Paul McCartney, but proved to be the smartest business deal he ever made; in 1986, MJ started "Bad" world tour, finished 3D-movie "Captain Eo", wrote autobiography "Moonwalker", released musical movie also called "Moonwalker", bought Neverland, received numerous awards; in 1987, MJ left Jehovah's Witness (review); in 1989, MJ let go of his manager Frank Dileo, not clear why; immediately after Frank Dileo's departure, MJ's brothers tried to convince MJ to do a tour with them for a moonie religious organization; the religious group literaly offered a million dollar reward to any family member who could convince MJ; nobody could convince MJ; it turned out the organization offered the same to Frank Dileo who turned them down; note: in 2009, MJ hired Dileo again shortly before he died; in 1984, MJ's contact with his brothers was minimal, he made it veryt cleard Victory tour was the last; in 1990's: MJ renegotiated his contract with Sony and got a bigger percentage, had a 15-year 6-album deal; on June 25, 1990 (coincidence?), MJ started recording "Dangerous"; presidents kept inviting MJ to the White House (footage of MJ with President Bush at the White House); from 1990-1995, MJ received numerous awards for his music and humanitarian efforts; footage of MJ's friend talking about MJ being the target of media, music video of "Leave Me Alone", MJ's NAACP Awards speech in 1994 (review) defending his innocence; MJ says "Do me a favor, don't read the tabloids"

Rothman and DA (District Attorney) Thomas Sneddon, both with questionable character as records would show, came into the picture; note: Geraldine Hughes, Rothman's former secretary, revealed in her book it was all about money; investigators intimidated children contacted through MJ's personal phonebook by telling them lies claiming they (investigators) have pictures of them with MJ???; as seen in previous parts of the documentary, Evan Chandler fought for custody of his son against his ex-wife so he could get his hands on MJ's money; footage of MJ's mom, Katherine Jackson, defending MJ; Evan Chandler claimed his son revealed the abuse while on "truth serum" at his dentist's office, but when questioned, Jordan denied everything his father said; several people tried to sell what they claimed they knew about the MJ and little boys to tabloids, but in court, they all admitted they never saw anything with their eyes, just heard stories from others who claimed they did; the tabloids hounded MJ by printing unfounded stories they bought from unreliable sources; footage of a man commenting the out-of-court settlement did not do so much good to MJ's reputation and career; footage of "Scream" video; footage of another man commenting the child molestation issue crippled MJ's career; footage of MJ saying he is very resilient; meantime, June Chandler eventually sided with Evan and Dave for fear of losing parental rights causing her lawyer to resign in disgust; when the case was settled, MJ was in England undergoing teatment for pain medication dependency, he did not see the massive coverage and how hostile it was; trouble started brewing at the Chandlers' camp, Dave divorced June and was angry at Evan for taking away Jordan, "this is all about extortion anyway," he said; some of the reasons Jackson camp agreed to settle was that MJ was very fragile emotionally and the press would haunt him while the case would be ongoing for possibly up to 6 months; LA was recovering from the Rodney King case; racial issues also affected legal proceedings, etc.; footage of Scream video (again); footage of a man commenting about MJ's closeness to kids as result of his not having a normal childhood so he could not be blamed; footage of Gladys Knight also saying MJ's fame came with a great price, he suffered because of what the world did to him; footage of man commenting growing up in public as a celebrity like MJ did has its good and bad side, and MJ had to take both, unfortunately, at that point, MJ was reaping the bad side in a big way; eventually, Jordan didn't want to testify???; footage of news announcing MJ would not be facing charges because the boy (Jordan Chandler) refused to testify???
